My plan to settle and work in a first world country is yet to be achieved. This is an ambition and plan I have for a long. After I got admitted to the university, I had some double about my major, which is âSocial Scienceâ. To be honest I was a bit frustrated not to study either in Engineering or in Medicine. However, in few months I started loving this subject I was studying and started feeling the immense possibility this might have in my future. That I time I considered settling in a first world country for the higher study and work
First of all, I need a really impressive result in my masterâs degree program so that I can get a scholarship in a reputed university. The admission in a top-rated university in a first world country would be the first step in fulfilling my ambition. Then I would need to study and research really hard to have a prominent presence there so that I can get a decent job offer. My dedication, determination and hard work would be the vital factors for achieving this ambition.
This is very important for me to work and settle in a first world country. I have a fascination about researching in my study field and I am sure that would be better facilitated in a first world country. The career prospect and research facilities in my country are not that promising and I have an aspiration to contribute to a great extent in the arena I have my knowledge. Considering all these, itâs really important for me to achieve my ambition.

Being an ambitious person, I have many aims in my life. I have this habit of working with determination, dedication and discipline to achieve my ambitions. Although I have met most of my goals, there is one ambition that I havenât achieved yet.
What it is?
My ambition is to start a digital marketing business.
Why you havenât achieved it?
I havenât achieved it yet, due to many reasons. Firstly, I havenât got expert guidance. Numerous mentors post their content for free on various platforms like Youtube and Facebook, but their courses are vague and difficult to understand. The central focus of such creators is on earning view.
Moreover, the option of paid training is there, but that is costly. A simple online course of 6 weeks costs around one thousand dollars.
What did you do?
To achieve my aim, I have purchased a few books. I daily read and implement the strategies mentioned in the book. Although I am making progress, the pace is slow.
And how do you feel about it?
I sincerely believe that I have followed the wrong strategy. To start a business practical knowledge is of utmost importance.
The possible course of action I must take is to join a digital marketing company as an intern. Whatever trivial knowledge I have is sufficient enough to grab me a job.
Because working with a company would empower me with practical knowledge to lead my career towards an impressive growth trajectory.

We all have ambitions in our lives, and we leave no stone unturned to achieve them. However, despite working hard, we sometimes fail to achieve our goals.
Recently, I faced a situation in which despite putting in my sincere efforts, I couldnât achieve my ambition.
What it is?
Since my childhood, I am deeply attached to my parents. During my bussing years, I was an average student who never got good grades. But my parents wanted me to become a successful person.
They worked hard and made me a brilliant student through their efforts and dedication.
 To make my parents feel special, celebrating the 25th wedding anniversary of my parents with pomp and show was my ambition. However, to my dismay, I failed to achieve it.
Why you havenât achieved it?
I havenât achieved it, because just before the anniversary, the administration imposed stringent lockdown due to the corona pandemic. As the virus was spreading rapidly, people were afraid of stepping outside their homes.
Taking the health of everyone into consideration, I decided to cancel the event.
What did you do?
I immediately called all the guests on the list and informed them not to come.
Although I celebrated with my family parents, the pomp and show were missing. We cut the cake, had dinner and then went to sleep.
And how do you feel about it?
 Initially, I felt upset. But later on, I realized that by cancelling the event I made a prudent decision. To achieve my ambition, I have decided to celebrate the next wedding anniversary of my parents with pomp and show.

There is no denying this conviction that ambitions are of utmost importance to keep us focussed in our lives. I have had an ambition for a long time.
What it is?
The ambition is to do something worthwhile for senior citizens.
Why you havenât achieved it?
I have not achieved my ambition because of funding problems. As inflation is at its peak, providing help to the elderly, without sufficient funds is a daunting task.
What did you do?
To start the free support service for senior citizens, I contacted many non-government organisations and corporates. But despite my best efforts, I have failed to generate sufficient funds.
And how do you feel about it?
I feel I have not followed the right strategy to achieve my aim. The glaring mistake I have made is not going beyond the conventional domain to generate funds.
There is no denying this conviction that social media has made inroads in our lives. Due to this reason generating funds for any social cause through this platform is a prudent approach. Hence, I have decided to launch a campaign on social media to create awareness about my project.
This initiative would help me to generate funds and also recruit volunteers. Another thing I would do is to attach with a renowned personality because it would create good branding for my project.
I think I can fulfil my ambition by working with determination, dedication and discipline. And, I would bring a paradigm shift in the life of those elderly, who require medical care and attention.

Having ambition is significant because it can lead our lives towards the right trajectory. Although I have achieved umpteen ambitions in my life, one is still pending.
What it is?
The ambition is to open a restaurant. Since my childhood, I have interest in cooking, and I always try to impress others through my culinary skills.
Why you havenât achieved it?
I have not achieved it due to many reasons. The first and foremost is capital investment. I need to have sufficient funds at my disposal to run a restaurant effectively. Being a student, I do not have money to rent a place.
Moreover, success in any business thrives primarily on the experience we have. People who have heaps of experience find it easy to handle conflicts adroitly. On the other hand, for a novice like me, it is a daunting task to solve pressing problems in business.
Another roadblock is the ongoing corona pandemic. For the last two years, I have been seeing that the administration imposes lockdown regularly, in such a scenario running a business is a cumbersome process.
What did you do?
To achieve my ambition, I watched a boatload of videos on Youtube. Moreover, I have designed the website of my business.
And how do you feel about it?
I am pretty confident that very soon, I will start my business. For funds, I had a word with my uncle, he is ready to invest in my business by becoming a partner. Moreover, his tremendous experience would be an added advantage for me.

Being a hard-working person, I have achieved many aims in my life, one ambition is still pending.
What it is?
The ambition I have is to carry six-pack abs.
Why you havenât achieved it?
I have not achieved my ambition due to various reasons. The first one is Corona Pandemic. Due to the lockdown, most gyms in my city remain closed. And I have no option but to do exercise myself. Although I have given my best, the results are not as per expectations. I staunchly believe that doing physical workouts under the aegis of a seasoned trainer is a prudent approach.
The second reason for failure is a lack of discipline. Some days I exercise for 2 hours, and on some occasions, I skip exercise. There is no denying this conviction that, for a perfect physique, working according to a set routine is of utmost importance.
What did you do?
 I have watched a boatload of videos on Youtube related to fitness. Moreover, I read content on the diet because it is intuitively true that abs are made in the kitchen.
And how do you feel about it?
Earlier I was upset about my failure: however, now I am hopeful because I have realized the reason for not getting success. I have planned to work with determination, dedication and discipline to achieve my ambition.
I have ordered the gym equipment and hired a personal trainer. Under the instructorâs guidance, I will leave no stone unturned to achieve my ambition of having six-pack abs.

Well, I am quite ambitious and the ambition that I couldnât achieve till now is moving to a foreign country for my higher study.
What it is?
It is actually my dream for long time to travel to a developed country like Canada or US where I would like to complete my higher study. Many youngsters form my country move to developed countries for better prospects.
For example, foreign universities are renowned for their quality education and their degrees and diplomas are recognized all over the world. In addition, the culture of âEarn while learnâ helps youngsters to become self-dependent and responsible.
Why you havenât achieved it?
I still remember, when I was in grade 10th one of my friends moved to Canada for further education and at that time I too wanted to migrate, but my parents didnât allow me as I was too young. Now last year when after completing 10+2. I planned the same, this time due to Corona there was a complete lock-down and I couldnât start the visa filing process or anything. As a result, I couldnât fulfil my ambition.
How you felt about it?
Now I am all set to migrate this year as I donât want to further delay the plans as my career settlement completely depends on this ambition. I am well aware that moving to a new country alone is not going to be a bed of roses, however, to fulfil this ambition I am ready to do whatever it takes.

- But the one ambition that I am working on right now is to go for higher education in Canada.
Why you havenât achieved it?
- Earlier I didnât have any plans to go abroad, but a conversation with a friend who went to Canada changed my opinion.
- He told me about the difference in the quality of education and the work opportunities available there.
- So after completing my senior secondary education, I decided that it would be the best opportunity for me.
- There are two main requisites to get admission in a good Canadian college.
- The first is good grades in senior secondary education.
- My grades are pretty satisfactory. So, I didnât have to worry about that.
- The second is a good score in English language tests like IELTS or TOEFL.
What you did?
- I learned that Canadian colleges give preference to IELTS and hence I am taking the IELTS exam.
- For the past two-three months, I have been practicing for the exam.
- I ordered the Cambridge books and started my preparation from them.
- There is a lot of free material available on the internet.
- So, I used that to prepare myself.
- I used to practice for about 8 hours every day.
- I used to try to cover every IELTS module twice.
- For listening and reading, I didnât need much help.
- I just practised the test papers and looked at my mistakes after that, so I donât repeat them.
- For speaking and writing, I joined a coaching institute and their teachers helped me a lot.
And how you felt about it?
- I hope to get good bands, so I can move ahead to the next step, which is to apply for an offer letter from a Canadian College.
- I donât think it has been an easy journey.
- English is not my first language and I have had to practise really hard.

I have been dreaming about it for the last few months. The idea hit me when I came to study in Delhi and found that many students are engaged in different part-time jobs at different IT firms. I thought it would be an excellent idea to start such a company that would employ many youths while also contribute to the country’s economic growth.
To reach my goal, I have already taken some initiatives. I’ve got admitted to a renowned IT training institute. There, I have started getting extensive training on different software and application development approaches. I am also learning about various aspects of web designing, mobile application development, video editing and outsourcing. My plan is that I will devote myself to learning for the next two years and then start an IT company. In the beginning, I will start on a very small scale and then gradually expand and get bigger. As I neither have much money nor sufficient training and expertise, it may take around three more years to succeed in materialising my plans, ambitions and dreams.
The number of unemployed people, especially youths, is huge in my country. Since these youths are talented and interested in technology, IT could be a great sector for them to build their career. If I could establish an IT firm that would promise to provide some great services to its client, I think I will be able to recruit some of the talented youths. It will be helpful for me and them at the same time. Moreover, I believe that I am patient and I never give up. I may have ups and downs but I am keeping provisions to survive in the initial stage, and once the agency starts generating some steady revenue, hopefully, it will continue to flourish.

It was probably 2019 when I had the idea, and after that, it has become one of the serious ambitions that I want to fulfil. I have done a lot of research and talked to many individuals about it. Most of them agreed that the idea is quite fascinating. They also warned me about the challenges I will have to face to make this dream come true. I quite agree with them as it would require a firm determination, my own establishment and financial solvency to actually start it.
My father is a successful businessman and a renowned philanthropist in our locality. I have discussed with him my plan and he gave me many pieces of advice. He also promised me that he would help me in every way possible. I, in fact, dared to dream of such a big ambition because I know that my father would back me up in anything benevolent for others.
I would first finish my Master’s degree in a foreign university to get better exposure to new ideas and research facilities, and then come back to my hometown to start my nonprofit organisation. That would only be the beginning of my ambition. I will have to go a long way and work really hard to fulfil the desire and dream I have told you about.
I belong to a family where most of the members are established businessmen and have done something helpful for others. For example, my uncle finances a day-care centre for children, my father is one of the founding members of a charity organisation while my grandfather runs two schools and a college. Following their footsteps is very important for me, and I also have an aspiration to be able to help others.
