Upon Arjun Varma’s (Dulquer Salmaan) arrival, an upright officer from the narcotics department who has been transferred to Gulaabgunj, he directly witnesses the unlawful opium dealings of both rival factions. Concurrently, another narrative thread follows the tale of Tipu (Rajkummar Rao), a skilled two-wheeler mechanic. Tipu’s father was once a part of the Ganchi gang and played a pivotal role in the expansion of Senior Ganchi’s dominion.
Following the murder of his father by two henchmen, Tipu unwittingly becomes entwined with Ganchi’s gang after he retaliates by taking the lives of the assailants. The most captivating aspect of this series lies in its quirky characters, seamlessly intertwined with the plot and the local backdrop. The late Satish Kaushik, portraying Sr. Ganchi, graces the initial two episodes of this crime drama, prompting viewers to marvel at the actor’s immense potential while lamenting the untapped depths of his talent.
Rajkummar Rao shines as Tipu, masterfully embodying a simpleton who hovers near the brink of being a buffoon.
