Being an avid reader of history, I tend to visit historical places. Last month, I had visited a cultural and religious place for the first time.
Where the new place is?
The place is known as Burj Fateh. Its name is Chappar Chiri, a small village in the Mohali district of Punjab.
When did you go there?
Last year my city was in a state of lockdown due to the corona pandemic. Once the local government had lifted the lockdown and begun the unlock process, I had a sigh of relief. And I immediately visited Burj Fateh.
Why did you go there?
To do something beyond the conventional domain, I decided to visit Burj Fateh.
And explain how you feel about the place?
The first thought that came to my mind is that it is the bounden duty of all Indians to visit Chappar Chiri because it occupies a significant role in Indian history. This place witnessed the battle betwixt Sikh forces led by Banda Singh Bahadur Ji and Wazir Khan from Sirhind.
The local authorities constructed Fateh Burj to mark the war led by Banda Bahadur Singh Ji. This place has state of the art infrastructure. The architects have left no stone unturned to give it a historical look.
This place has a museum. Students from different schools visit this place to gain knowledge of Sikh history and culture. Moreover, the authorities conduct various cultural programmes to spread awareness regarding the significance of this place.
Conclusion
It is a must-visit place for people from all sections of society.

Being a voracious traveller, I tend to travel to different parts of the world. Recently I visited a new place.
Where the new place is?
The place is in the Uttranchal state of India. Its name is Chakrata, and it is a hill station.
When did you go there?, and Why did you go there?
Last year because of the Corona Virus outbreak, the higher authorities imposed a stringent lockdown in our nation. Due to this reason, I didn’t go out of my township for six months.
Finally, when the administration had lifted the lockdown, I had a sigh of relief. And I immediately planned to visit a new location. After surfing the internet for hours, I finalised Chakrata city for my trip.
And explain how you feel about the place?
Chakrarta city is a must-visit place. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of modern cities. As this place is 100 km away from the urban areas, there is no traffic congestion.
Moreover, the cool breeze blows that keep the environment clean and pristine. I had not found many tourists over there due to that, I roamed in the city with tremendous ease.
The administration has banned the usage of plastic bags in this city. Apart from this, the natives do not prefer to use motor vehicles for work. Due to this reason, the pollution level is low in the city.

I love this place because of its alluring beauty, and I have planned to visit it every year.

- One of my school/university teachers is from Karnataka. She told me about the beauty of the place, so I went there.Â
- In addition, Mysore Palace is one of India’s most famous tourist attractions after the Taj Mahal, with more than 6 million visitors annually.Â
- The architectural style of the palace dome, commonly referred to as the Indian spiral, is a mixture of Hindu, Mughal, Rajput and Gothic styles.Â
- A three-story stone building with a marble dome and a 145-foot five-story tower. The palace is surrounded by a large garden.Â
Explain how you feel about the place?Â
- The roof artwork is great.Â
- The artists had worked perfectly.Â
- I was surprised at the beauty of the place.Â

Where the new place is?
- Here, I would like to talk about the Statue of Unity in the Narmada district of Gujarat.
- It is a colossal statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, who was the first Home Minister of Independent India.
- His expression, posture and pose show the confidence and the iron-will of this great person.
When you went there?
- Recently I had an opportunity to visit this architectural marvel.
- This statue can withstand winds of 180 km/hour and can resist earthquake of 6.5 on the Richter scale.
Why you went there?
- I came to know about it from the news channels on TV.
- It was on all news channels in January 2019.
- This Statue of Unity was first open to public on 3rd Jan 2019
- It is the world’s tallest statue.
- It was built in just 33 months.
- It is made of bronze and is about 600 feet tall.
- I visited this place with my family, and I really enjoyed a lot with them.
- We visited this place in December last year.
- I had read a lot about it on the internet.
- Apart from the statue there are several other things here which are worth seeing.
- The ticket is Rs. 350/- per head.
how you feel about the place?
- It includes the entry to the observation deck, valley of flowers, the Sardar Patel Memorial, museum and audio-visual Gallery, the statue of Unity site and the Narmada River.
- More than 2 million people have visited the statue already.
- It has become a major tourist attraction of India.

l have always been interested in traveling because I feel relaxed and feel like I am living my life to the fullest. The journey becomes even more exciting when we travel with friends.
Similarly here I am going to talk about one of the trips that I did with my friends. About six months ago 3 friends of mine and I decided to visit the Taj Mahal which, is one of the world’s Seven Wonders. We decided to travel by car because it gives the liberty to stop in the passage according to the convenience.
Within several hours we reached the Taj mahal and we were amazed to see the view of The Taj Mahal. After watching the view we started clicking selfies and pictures. We became interested in knowing about the history of the Taj Mahal. Though we already had an idea still we decided to learn even more.
We decided to read about the internet. After enjoying the place for about 2 hours we were very tired and then we went out for eating in a nearby restaurant.
Overall, the feeling I had at that time can’t be expressed in words it was totally an elated moment for all of us. Whenever we see the pictures that we clicked in the journey just put a smile on our faces.

1. What measures should be taken to deal with damage to public facilities?
Damage to public properties is a pressing problem. Hitherto governments have taken many steps to keep a check on it, but this menace is continuing. The government needs to think beyond the conventional domain to find viable solutions to this issue.
The possible course of action the government must take is to improve CCTV surveillance. All public places should have cameras installed so that law enforcement agencies can easily track the miscreants.
Moreover, the offenders should get stringent punishment. A strict sentence would act as a deterrent for regular offenders.
2. What are the differences between old facilities and new facilities?
The difference between old and new facilities is of infrastructure. The old facilities have less use of technology whereas new facilities thrive primarily on it.
3. What facilities do young people and old people like in your country?
Young people love to spend their time in Shopping malls, and amusement parks, while old people like to go to libraries, museums and gardens.
4. What is the difference between facilities in the countryside and the ones in the cities?
In the countryside, basic facilities are available such as schools and hospitals: whereas cities provide shopping malls, amusement parks, multi-speciality hospitals, World-class schools, colleges and universities.
5. Which do you prefer, living in a city or only visiting it as a tourist?
Being a youngster, I prefer to live in the city because of the facilities.
6. How do young and old people react differently to new things?
Young and older people reach differently to new things because of their experience and attitude. Youngsters have less patience, and due to that, they make impulsive choices.
On the other hand, elders rely on the heaps of knowledge and experience to handle conflicts adroitly.
7. Why do some people want to go to college far away from home?
Some people want to go to college far away from home, due to many reasons. The first apparent reason is that they want to have freedom. They think that by staying away from their parents, they can enjoy their life in a better way.
Moreover, those people who wish to do things beyond the conventional domain usually like to spend their lives far away from home.
