Since Ardaas, his career graph has seen a steep upward growth and this year he was the first one to announce the release dates of his multiple films and booked his schedule till 2020. Now, according to a latest update shared on his page, Ardaas 2 shall hit the big screens in the year 2019.
Mumbai, Sep 30 Popular Punjabi singer, actor and filmmaker Gippy Grewal has announced his new directorial venture “Ardaas 2”.
Gippy, who is also writing the Punjabi film, on Sunday shared it’s first look on Twitter and wrote: “Humble Motion Pictures Presents ‘Ardaas 2’. Written and directed by Gippy Grewal. Shooting starts soon.”
The film is scheduled to release next year.
“Ardaas 2” is the second installment of “Ardaas”, which released in 2016. It features Gurpreet Ghuggi, Ammy Virk and Meher Vij among many others.
Gippy has previously also directed Punjabi films like “Zindabad Yaariyan” and “Dare and Lovely”.
Just a couple of days back the shoot of ‘Ardaas 2’ commenced, and now Punjabi actress Japji Khaira joins the cast of the movie. She took to her social media handle to share the news. She posted a picture of her with the clapboard of the movie as she posed for the camera along with Gippy Grewal and Baljit Singh Deo.
Coming from the genre of social drama, ‘Ardaas 2’ is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2019. The movie is being produced under Gippy Grewal’s production banner. Besides being the producer, he is the one who has written the script of the movie and is directing the same.
After hunting down shoot locations and calling in fresh faces to be a part of the project, Gippy Grewal has finally taken his much-awaited movies ‘Ardaas 2’ on the floors. Gippy Grewal took to his social media handle to share the news with the picture of clapboard. In his post, he wrote: “Daata ji Mehar karo…🙏 #Ardaas2 di shooting start ho gayi aa te tuhadiya duwan di lor hai 🙏”
Written and directed by Gippy Grewal, ‘Ardaas 2’ is the sequel to 2017 released ‘Ardaas’. The first part was based on the lines of a social drama and the second installment is reportedly crafted on similar lines. The release date of the same has been kept under wraps as of now, but according to the reports, it is expected to hit the theatres this year only.
