Ranbir Kapoor is currently prepping for his upcoming film ‘Brahmastra’. Recently there were reports that Ranbir is training two martial art forms Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai for the film. Now latest news suggests that the makers of the film have asked Ranbir to have a leaner body in the film.

A source close to the project revealed that Ranbir is not fond of working out but for ‘Brahmastra’ he has been asked to sport a lean body. The source further added that Ranbir has been working out rigorously to get the look right. He is also following a very strict diet for the project.

The source further mentioned that Ranbir had to bulk up for the upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic for a few portions, due to which he gained weight. Now, Ranbir is working hard to shed all those extra kilos.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji ‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and television beauty Mouni Roy in a negative role. If reports are to be believed than Alia and Ranbir will be performing some insane, high-octane action sequences in ‘Brahmastra’. The film will hit the screens on August 15, 2019.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are teaming up for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. The duo was shooting in Bulgaria, where they wrapped up the first scheduled shoot. While Alia is back in Mumbai, her hunky co-star is unwinding in London.

The actor was spotted posing with his fans for a selfie around London. Reportedly, he will be training in different martial art forms including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai for the next four weeks. The report further states that Ranbir will need basic training in Huyen Langlon, a form of martial art from Manipur which involves both armed and unarmed fighting.

Both Ranbir and Alia will soon be back to Bulgaria to resume work on the action flick.

Meanwhile, Alia has picked up where she left off on ‘Gully Boy’, starring Ranveer Singh.

‘Brahmastra’ is touted to be a trilogy with the first part of the franchise also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.

According to reports, director Ayan Mukerji along with the ‘Brahmastra’ team are putting together a surprise party to make the day special for her, especially since it’s a milestone for her and also as she is away from home. The report further suggests that to add to the fun, they have a particular theme for the bash.
