Gippy Grewal’s directorial debut Ardaas left many hearts in an emotional turmoil. While the director got a lot of appreciation for his work, it also left him in a dilemma that whether he will be able to make a better presentation for it’s next part.

In an earlier interview with Ghaintpunjab, Gippy Grewal had quoted that Ardaas has been my finest works so far and in case I plan a part two of this venture, then it has to be a much better subject.

Since Ardaas, his career graph has seen a steep upward growth and this year he was the first one to announce the release dates of his multiple films and booked his schedule till 2020. Now, according to a latest update shared on his page, Ardaas 2 shall hit the big screens in the year 2019.

Mumbai, Sep 30 Popular Punjabi singer, actor and filmmaker Gippy Grewal has announced his new directorial venture “Ardaas 2”.

Gippy, who is also writing the Punjabi film, on Sunday shared it’s first look on Twitter and wrote: “Humble Motion Pictures Presents ‘Ardaas 2’. Written and directed by Gippy Grewal. Shooting starts soon.”

The film is scheduled to release next year.

“Ardaas 2” is the second installment of “Ardaas”, which released in 2016. It features Gurpreet Ghuggi, Ammy Virk and Meher Vij among many others.

Gippy has previously also directed Punjabi films like “Zindabad Yaariyan” and “Dare and Lovely”.

Just a couple of days back the shoot of ‘Ardaas 2’ commenced, and now Punjabi actress Japji Khaira joins the cast of the movie. She took to her social media handle to share the news. She posted a picture of her with the clapboard of the movie as she posed for the camera along with Gippy Grewal and Baljit Singh Deo.

Coming from the genre of social drama, ‘Ardaas 2’ is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2019. The movie is being produced under Gippy Grewal’s production banner. Besides being the producer, he is the one who has written the script of the movie and is directing the same.

After hunting down shoot locations and calling in fresh faces to be a part of the project, Gippy Grewal has finally taken his much-awaited movies ‘Ardaas 2’ on the floors. Gippy Grewal took to his social media handle to share the news with the picture of clapboard. Written and directed by Gippy Grewal, ‘Ardaas 2’ is the sequel to 2017 released ‘Ardaas’. The first part was based on the lines of a social drama and the second installment is reportedly crafted on similar lines. The release date of the same has been kept under wraps as of now, but according to the reports, it is expected to hit the theatres this year only.

The movie Zahoor is going to be a period film based on the incidents and events of the 18th century. Although, Parmish hasn’t shared much information about the movie he is coming up with.

Parmish’s debut took place through a performance for “Rocky Mental.” He also got a PTC Punjabi Best Debut Award 2018 for the performance in that movie.

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—A day after the official release of the poster for the proposed Bhai Jaita movie, the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Gurbachan Singh, imposed a ban on the production of the movie on January 11. Widespread anger among the Sikh masses about the role of Bhai Jaita Ji being played by Gippy Grewal is being said to be the main reason behind imposition of ban.

Appearing before media, Giani Gurbachan Singh said that the matter has been handed over to the Dharam Prachaar Committee of SGPC.

“The committee will deliberate upon the movie from all aspects and then final decision will be taken”, he added. He confessed that the ban has been imposed following the emergence of widespread anger among Sikh masses after release of poster.

Meanwhile, the producer of the movie has said that he was ready to abide by the instructions from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Bhai Jaita Ji is a Sikh of the imtes of Guru Gobind Singh ji, who had delivered the severed head of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji from Delhi to Sri Anandpur Sahib, after he was beheaded by Mughals in Chandi Chowk. Bhai Jaita Ji’s name was changed to Bhai Jeevan Singh after he subsequently requested to be baptized.

Singham is the Punjabi remake of the Hindi movie with the same name, starring Parmish Verma in a prominent role. It is a drama presented by Ajay Devgn, with Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak as the producers, forming a part of the crew. Release Date –  Apr, 2019

After giving chartbusters like Gaal Ni Kadni and Shaad famous Punjabi singer and producer Parmish Verma is all set to lead the Punjabi version of Ajay Devgn starrer Singham which is expected to release in 2019.

Singham, which was first made in the southern film industry, followed by Bollywood, is now set to get a Punjabi remake with Parmish Verma in the lead role. It will release next year. Ajay Devgn, who starred in the Hindi version of the film, made the announcement on his birthday on Monday. He is presenting the Punjabi film, which is being produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.

“Punjab da sher (Tiger of Punjab) Parmish Verma, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak,” Ajay tweeted. Parmish, who will play the title role, is known for singing Punjabi numbers like “Gaal ni kadni” and “Shada”.

Parmish took to his Instagram and shared the same poster. “Mere layi bahut maan wali gal hai, south te Bollywood wich blockbuster hit film ‘Singham’ di Punjabi remake with mainu Singham play karan da mauka mil rea hai. (It is an honour that I am getting to star in the Punjabi remake of Bollywood and south industry’s blockbuster hit ‘Singham’).

Shadaa is a Punjabi movie starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa in prominent roles. It is a drama directed by Jagdeep Sidhu.

Release Date – 24 May, 2019

Starring Diljit and Neeru in lead, the movie is being produced by Atul Bhalla, Amit Bhalla, Anurag Bhalla, Aman Gill and Pawan Gill. This is the third movie by Atul Bhalla and Amit Bhalla, earlier this year they gave 2018 two hysterical blockbusters ‘Carry On Jatta 2’ and ‘Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan’. Now let’s see which genre will this upcoming movie touch.

Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa were last seen in 2015 release movie ‘Sardaar Ji’. Post that the audience craved to see the hit pair together again. In 2017 the pair did come together, but only for a song ‘Raat Di Gedi’. The track ruled the charts in no time.
